Spanish Potato Salad

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 400 g of potatoes
  • 400 g carrots
  • 80 g of Bobby green beans (fine)
  • 80 g frozen peas
  • 180 g canned tuna
  • 300 g of mayonnaise

Optional:

80 g of cooked beets

Preparation:

  1. Peel and wash the potato. Put it in the mixing jug cut into quarters. Crush it at speed 1, 30 seconds. Remove it and place it in the steamer basket.
  2. Repeat with the peeled carrot.
  3. Add salt to the crushed potato and carrot.
  4. Pour 500 ml of water into the mixing jug.
  5. Remove the stopper and place the steamer basket on top with the lid on it.
  6. Heat water to SL speed, 100 degrees, 20 minutes.
  7. Add the salted beans, without the tips and cut into wide slices.
  8. Cook at the same speed and temperature for 6 minutes.
  9. Add the salted peas.
  10. Continue cooking for 5 minutes.
  11. Check that the potatoes are very soft (they almost have to come apart).
  12. Remove from the steamer taking care not to burn yourself with the steam and let cool in the fridge.
  13. Mix the drained tuna, the mayonnaise and, optionally, the diced cooked beets.
