Ingredients for 4 people:
- 250 g cucumber
- Salt
- 1 garlic
- 30 g fresh mint
- Extra virgin olive oil
- White pepper g
- 400 g yoghurt
Preparation:
- Peel the cucumber. Cut it in half and remove the seeds with a spoon. Salt the cucumber and leave to stand for 10 minutes.
- Add the peeled garlic and mint leaves to the jar.
- Press “pulse” for 2 seconds. Repeat until completely chopped.
- Wash the cucumber and add it to the jar. Blend on speed 4, 5 seconds.
- Season with the oil and pepper. Add salt and mix in the yoghurt by hand with the spatula.
Tips…
- Tzatziki is ideal with meats – chicken, pork, lamb – either on its own or in a pita with lettuce and vegetables.
- You can also use the sauce as a salad dressing.
