Tatziki (Yogurt & Cucumber Sauce)

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 250 g cucumber
  • Salt
  • 1 garlic
  • 30 g fresh mint
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • White pepper
  • 400 g of yogurt

Preparation:

  1. Peel the cucumber. Cut it in half and scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Add salt it and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Put the peeled garlic in the mixing jug next to the mint leaves.
  3. Crush with the “turbo” 2 seconds. Repeat the operation until they are completely chopped.
  4. Wash the cucumber and put it in the mixing jug. Crush at speed 4, 5 seconds.
  5. Season with the oil and pepper. Add salt and mix in the yogurt.

Tips…

  • The Tatziki is ideal to accompany meats – chicken, pork, lamb -, either alone or inside a pita with lettuce and vegetables.
  • You can also use the sauce to dress salads.
