Stewed chickpeas

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 100 g extra virgin olive oil
  • 80 g fresh bacon
  • 80gr fresh chorizo sausage for cooking
  • 150gr crushed tomato
  • Salt, pepper, sugar
  • Thyme
  • 800 g cooked chickpeas
  • 1 glass of water or broth

Preparation:

  1. Place the peeled and quartered onion and the peeled garlic in the mixing jar.
  2. Blend for 8 seconds on speed 8.
  3. Carefully place the blade guard on the blades.
  4. Add the oil and cook on speed 2, 120 degrees, 10 minutes.
  5. Add the diced bacon and sliced chorizo.
  6. Cook on speed 1, 120 degrees for 10 minutes.
  7. Add the tomato. Season with salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar and a few thyme leaves.
  8. Cook on speed 1, 120 degrees for 5 minutes.
  9. Add the chickpeas with a glass of water or stock and select “sauce”, speed 1, 90 degrees 3 minutes.
