Stewed chickpeas

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 100 g of extra virgin olive oil
  • 80 g of fresh bacon
  • 80 g of fresh chorizo for cooking
  • 150 g of crushed tomato
  • Salt, pepper, sugar
  • Thyme
  • 800 g cooked chickpeas
  • 1 glass of water or broth

Preparation:

  1. Introduce the peeled and quartered onion, along with and the peeled garlic into the mixing jug.
  2. Crush 8 seconds at speed 8.
  3. Put on the blade guard carefully.
  4. Add the oil and cook speed 2, 120 degrees, 10 minutes.
  5. Add the diced bacon and the sliced chorizo.
  6. Cooking speed SL, 120 degrees 10 minutes.
  7. Add the tomato. Season with salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar and some thyme leaves.
  8. Cook at speed 1, 120 degrees 5 minutes.
  9. Add the chickpeas with a glass of water or broth and cook, speed SL, 90 degrees 3 minutes.
