Eggs Benedict

Huevo benedictina

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 75 g smoked bacon
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 eggs
  • Salt
  • 4 slices of sliced bread
  • Hollandaise sauce

Preparation:

  1. Place the bacon in the mixing jar. Blend on speed 6, 30 seconds.
  2. Add a drizzle of olive oil and cook on speed 1, 120 degrees, 4 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Carefully replace the blade guard. Add 1l. of water to the clean jar and heat on speed 0, 120 degrees, 9 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, line a bowl with cling film.
  5. Coat it with oil. Crack an egg and place it inside the cling film in the bowl. Remove it from the film.
  6. Close the ends of the film to make a ring with the egg inside.
  7. After 9 minutes, when the water is hot, stop the machine. Add the eggs inside the mixing jar with the nozzle uncovered.
  8. Let them cook in the hot water for 7 minutes (the whites should be cooked and the yolks raw) at speed 0, 75 degrees.
  9. Arrange the toasted bread on a plate. Place the poached egg and bacon on top. Finish with the warm hollandaise sauce.
